South Huntsville Living
Wow! What a great spirit our community has! ValleyFest
morning started with rain, rain and more rain. Our awesome vendors showed up,
set up and waited , each huddled in their tents, for the skies to clear . . .
and clear they did!
At the 10AM opening, all were a little nervous about what
the weather would do. Fortunately, the band, Fire & Ice lifted everyone’s
spirits with jazz music that could be heard throughout the park.
With food trucks waiting, the weather had improved and thousands
of guests began arriving around noon. The festival started to rock on the Lendon
stage with Unbroken at 1 PM and The Deltones were rolling on the Alabama Pain
Center Stage by 2:30! Hoyt Harris kept the Lendon stage hot with his guitar until
4 PM when Seminole Strut knocked it out of the park with their uniquely awesome
music.
Kudos to the vendors, entertainers and sponsors. Working
against the odds, each contributed to another day many people will remember!
As for the rest of the fun and festivity, you’ll just have
to see it for yourself . . .
